These things are super-duper cute! I found them on a blog then slightly modified them to make them more flexible and easy to make with materials you already have.
DIY Ingredients:
Mason Jar
White Paint (I used acrylic, but any type should do)
Spongey paintbrush (optional)
Thick, large paintbrush
Candle (No-flame works best)
Yarn (any type, thickness, material, or color)
Mason Jar
White Paint (I used acrylic, but any type should do)
Spongey paintbrush (optional)

Yarn (any type, thickness, material, or color)
Step 1: Wrap the yarn tightly around the jar, then tie at the ends. Snip off excess ends.
Step 2: (only if using spongey brush) Go over the wrapped jar with a light coat of the white paint. Try not to let the yarn move, the edges don't have to be perfect.
Step 3: Touch up the jar with the thick paintbrush. Make sure that there are no holes in the paint. Next, go across all the parts of the jar with the paintbrush going in one direction to give a cleaner look the the brushstrokes.
Step 4: After a few minutes of drying, turn the jar over and paint the bottom with the thick brush.
Step 5: Let dry completely. Once bottom is dry (that is a telltale sign) Cut the end of the yarn and unwrap it fairly slowly. Keep on workspace until all parts of jar are completely dry.
Put a candle inside it, turn its light on (or light the flame), and dim the lights! Finished!
